James Bagwell Conducts Bach's Coffee Contata and More

James Bagwell
James Bagwell
James Bagwell conducts Johann Sebastian Bach’s uproarious "Coffee Cantata," his Cantata 150, which inspired Brahms's final symphony, and the rarely heard Vivaldi Stabat Mater, sung by noted mezzo soprano Hai Ting Chin. Rounding out the program will be Bach's Orchestral Suite #2 in b minor played by the Bard College Baroque Ensemble. A pre-concert “kaffee klatch” for mingling with the musicians prior to the concert in Leipzig-like tradition is designed to enhance the engagement and communication between musicians and audience before rather than after the concert.
