Why Mindfulness for Social Justice? with George Mumford, Rose Pavlov, and Rhonda Magee

When: Fri., Oct. 5, 7-9 p.m. 2018

In a world of increasing distress and seeming disruption, what is the use of mindfulness? How can it help us see reality more clearly when our actions are motivated by a desire for justice? Join activists George Mumford, Rose Pavlov, and Rhonda Magee for a discussion on the practice of compassion-based mindfulness for self-care and the work of social justice. Together we’ll explore ways of bringing presence and compassion for self and others into difficulties we face on personal, interpersonal, and systemic levels.
