Vietnam 1968

Dennis Connors will give the second part of a 3 part lecture series about the 12 months he served with the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam during 1968. This lecture will cover topics such as sandbag construction, ambush techniques, the AK-47, C-4 explosives, Claymore mines, the M-16, Starlight Scopes, the importance of 3 quarts of water per day. Mr. Connors will discuss: rest and recuperation in Tokyo for 5 days, doctors showing great concern for soldiers pain (malaria, infections etc.), and B-52 strikes. The importance of the point-man and German shepherds and prevalence of chickens will be discussed.
