Could your space use a pick-me-up? Holiday entertaining and long, cozy winter evenings are coming. Don’t spend that time staring at your tired armchair or not-so-hot lighting—if your space needs a refresh, or you need a special gift for that design-forward friend, Valley Variety in Hudson is here to help.

Conceived by owner Chuck Rosenthal as a “modern and stylish interpretation of the traditional variety store,” Valley Variety carries an artful array of entrancing lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, and art. The shop, located on Warren Street, is Rosenthal’s passion project after spending nearly two decades in the Bay Area as the principal of a design firm.

This October, Rosenthal is hosting two sales sure to entice any lover of minimalist design. The three-day sale on October 8-11 is your chance to snag deep discounts on sleek Scandinavian pieces from Normann Copenhagen.

“They’re going to bring in close to 100 pieces of furniture, lighting, and accessories—just a massive infusion of beauty,” he says. “These are display models and floor samples, and they’ll be marked down anywhere from 50-75 percent for this unique warehouse sale.” So you better come prepared to take those goodies home.

You’ll also find a selection of modern, Minneapolis-made Blu Dot items marked down 20 percent. “It’s a once-a-year event,” says Rosenthal. “The Blu Dot sale runs until October 24, so you can come see the selection we have and order something you love in a different fabric or color.”

Whether your look is rustic farmhouse, industrial chic, or anything in between, the pieces you’ll discover are bound to blend and beautify. “It’s a great opportunity to own something new that’s really gorgeous and well-made,” he says.

Head out to Hudson next weekend and let Chuck help you choose something stylish—and astonishingly affordable—to brighten up your home.
