Self-care is important for everyone. It’s not selfish to unplug, relax, and pamper yourself from head to toe with a French Clay Detox—where warm French green clay and seaweed remove toxins and dead skin cells from your body. How about a massage with warm Himalayan salt stone crystals and cool river stones to loosen your tense muscles or an exotic milk ritual to nourish your dry parched summer skin?

If just reading about these treatments already has you feeling a little less stressed, get your calendars out and make an appointment now for the Spa Mirbeau in Rhinebeck, which will be located at the soon-to-open Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck. They are currently accepting reservations for September 28 and beyond.

The 12,000-square-foot spa has 14 treatment rooms, each with a fireplace and private sound system, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, eucalyptus-infused steam rooms, Himalayan salt saunas, a resting area with a fireplace and meditation rock, and an outdoor Aqua Terrace with hot whirlpool and private bar.

It’s going to be hard to decide between the myriad of signature massage treatments including Monet’s Favorite Fragrance Massage or a 50-minute Mirbeau Signature Couples Massage. Indulge in a variety of Elemis BIOTEC skincare treatments to firm your skin and erase fine lines.

The spa is available to the public and to overnight guests of the Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck, which is part of the award-winning Mirbeau family that also has locations in Skaneateles, New York and Plymouth, Massachusetts. The 50-room hotel is reminiscent of an old-world chic Parisian hotel set on 2.8 secluded, private acres in the village.

In the summer of 2019, Liz Glover Wilson had just opened the second location of her burgeoning Gardiner yoga studio and wellness campus, Stone Wave Yoga, in Poughkeepsie. Like so many other small business owners in the Hudson Valley, she had no way of knowing that only months later her entire business would fundamentally change. With the pandemic’s economic and personal challenges constantly at her door, however, yoga remained the one thing that Glover Wilson knew she could count on. “A lot of the students who stayed with us this last year are hungry to learn more about the yoga tool kit because they’re seeing that it really does work,” she says.
