From the ethereal imagination of Guillermo Del Toro comes a fantastical new tale of romance and bravery, which has already been nominated for seven Golden Globe awards, including Best Motion Picture Drama and Best Screenplay.

Sally Hawkins stars as Elisa, a mute who works as a cleaning lady in a top-secret government lab in the height of the Cold War. Working the night shift, Elisa accidentally discovers the lab's classified secret—a strange, scaled underwater creature, with whom she finds unexpectedly experiences connection and companionship.

But the lab's director seems determined that the only way to handle the creature is to kill it, which leads Elisa to hatch a wild plan to break the creature out.

As in Pan's Labyrinth and so many other times before, Guillermo del Toro masterfully wields his magic wand, swirling together the human and the fantastical with astounding and delightful beauty to extract timeless truths beyond the strictures of reality.
