The Secret City is an award winning performing arts collective that brings joyful celebrations of creativity and community wherever they go. Founded in NYC in 2007 by Chris Wells, The Secret City has become a much lauded organization with a burgeoning community in NYC, LA and the Hudson Valley. Part revival, part ceremony, part cabaret, each Secret City gathering has a unique theme and features a lineup of talent from the visual, performing and literary world. With a live band, community choir, storytelling, community interaction, food offering and meditation, the events are raucous, sincere and fabulous--leading audiences to a place of greater connection, joy and reawakened spirit. Over the years, The Secret City has featured a lineup of celebrated artists from the world of galleries, music, theater, film, circus and more including Rosanne Cash, Stew, Michael Cerveris, Taylor Mac, Justin Vivian Bond, John Fleck, Sxip Shirey, Jomama Jones, Jennifer Miller and on and on. Other highlights have been marching bands, hula hoopers, fire eaters, drill teams, flaggers, tap dancers, ballet companies, painters, photographers, poets, chefs and many more. This summer's event is an expansion of our usual one-day program with a REVIVAL in the town of Woodstock--a lineup of performance and installation beginning Friday evening, through Saturday afternoon with a community potluck Saturday night followed by a walk through town. All are welcome.

We offer free childcare and art lessons for the kids. And there’s a potluck coffee hour immediately following.

Please bring a treat to share!

Suggested donation for the Sunday event is $20. Other events are free and open to the public except where noted.
