Features Iraqi oud virtuoso and composer Rahim AlHaj, joined by Iranian santour maestro Sourena Sefati and Palestinian-American Arabic percussion master Issa Malluf. AlHaj’s intricate original compositions delicately combine traditional Iraqi maqams (the unique pitches on the Arabic musical scale and their melodic movement) with contemporary styling and influence.
