Sparkle: Night of 10,000 Lights

Follow Boscobel’s candlelit paths as winter’s fragrant aromas anoint its grounds. Tell Mr. and Mrs. Claus your Christmas wishes in the Sparkle Garden on Friday or travel back to the 19th-century with costumed musicians on Saturday. The Katonah Hand Bell Choir will also perform inside the mansion.

FRIDAY 12/13

Michelle LeBlanc

Having performed alongside the industry's consummate players like bassist Bill Crow and saxophonist Ed Xiques, LeBlanc brings music from her recent studio album I Remember You to Peekskill’s Division Street Grill. Her cabaret vocals meld with the sultry piano compositions of Hiroshi Yamazaki for this intimate gig.

FRIDAY 12/13

Judith Hill

Having sung backup for Josh Groban, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson, Hill grabbed the spotlight as her soulful and emotive ballads rung each week on NBC's “The Voice.” While Hill works on her debut album with Sony Records, she brings her bluesy chops to Club Helsinki.

FRIDAY 12/13-SATURDAY 12/14

Cultivating Catskill

Admire the decked halls and decorated facades of Catskill's most noteworthy homes. After following a Twilight Tour through the architectural designs on Friday, enjoy a reception at Beattie-Powers Place, Catskill's 1837 Greek revival mansion. Saturday will feature self-guided tours only.

FRIDAY 12/13-SUNDAY 12/15

The Elephant Room

Witness three quirky masters of mystery and illusion perform in a material manifestation of the mind, the “Elephant Room.” Dennis Diamond's animal conjuring, Louie Magic's sleight of hand, and Daryl Hannah's blend of native rituals and magic meld in a comical performance the New York Times calls “delightfully daft.”

SATURDAY 12/14

Zak Pelaccio and Ruth Reichl Discussion

Fish and Game chef Zak Pelaccio and former Gourmet magazine editor-in-chief Ruth Reichl chat about Hudson Valley’s esteemed culinary stature and its locally grown foods. Spencertown Academy Arts Center will host the culinary giants and Columbia County residents in their discussion followed by reception (with food!).
