Taste of History Costumed Guided Tour Day at Mesier Homestead

Meet the men & women who contributed to the history of the Hudson Valley! As part of NY State’s Path Through History weekend, the Wappingers Historical Society will be offering an interactive guided tour of the Mesier Homestead. Costumed historic characters include famed Revolutionary War spy Enoch Crosby, Phrenologist Orson Fowler, baseball great Dan Brouthers, and “friends” of abolitionist and women’s rights activist Sojourner Truth and Native American sachem (chief) of the Wappinger tribe, Daniel Nimham. These roles will be portrayed by volunteers from the Wappingers Historical Society and R.C Ketcham High School.
