This lecture will focus on Carmichael's upbringing. and trace the political and social conditions that led him to develop a political, social and financial philosophy that centered Black Power. (Kwame Ture) (June 29, 1941 – November 15, 1998) was a prominent organizer in the civil rights movement in the United States and the global Pan-African movement.
