he Stockade National Historic District Walking Tour explores the heart of the largest intact early Dutch settlement in New York State and the neighborhood where New York State was born in 1777. Follow the street plan designed by Peter Stuyvesant in 1658 with highlights such as viewing the many limestone houses, touring the interior of the c. 1812 Johnston and visiting to the site of the drafting of the New York State Constitution in 1777.
