Stephen Clair and Band Play Kingston Next Week
Stephen Clair
Between his job teaching music to others at the Beacon Music Factory and the music he makes outside of his instructional duties, Stephen Clair is a busy man, indeed. On February 8, the Beacon singer-songwriter will be operating in the latter role, when he brings his band the Pushbacks to BSP Kingston.

With famed Kingston producer Malcolm Burn at the board, Clair recently finished his yet-to-be-titled sixth solo album, which he’s currently shopping to labels. In 2018, Chronogram reviewer Mike Campbell praised Clair’s last outing, Pushback, for its “learned and well-studied rocking” and its “measure and thoughtfulness.”

Here’s Clair and company performing “I Found You” last year:

Stephen Clair and the Pushbacks will appear with Talula! and Natasha Althouse at BSP Kingston on February 8 at 7:30pm. Admission is $8. For more information, call (845) 481-5158 or visit http://bspkingston.com/.
