Step Into Stillness

In the shade of a soaring oak tree overlooking the ancient Catskill mountains, David McIntyre's Installation Step Into Stillness calls on the viewer to consider their relationship with nature. Situated within walking distance of Hudson, NY., in the heart of the 700-acre Greenport Conservation Area, the installation, as McIntyre describes it, "is as much a thing to see as it is a place to see from." Funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with support from Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the State Legislature administered by CREATE Council for Resources to Enrich the Arts, Technology & Education.
