The renowned Paquito d’Rivera steps into the spotlight as clarinetist, composer, and special guest of the Music from Copland House ensemble. Sounds of Havana traces the extraordinary odyssey of the 14-time Grammy Award-winner. The program features several of his own works, as well as a selection from a revered older work that profoundly influenced him, the masterful Trio for Clarinet, Cello, and Piano by Johannes Brahms. The concert also includes the World Premiere of a new work for two clarinets.
