Sinterklaas Kingston

Kingston's Rondout will host the Opening Event of Sinterklaas, an Old Dutch Tradition, the must-see holiday celebration that has been bringing thousands to Rhinebeck for the past three years. A full afternoon of events and activities are planned, including music, food, merchant Open Houses and featuring a Crowns & Branches Workshop for children and a special Parade to celebrate the Arrival of Sinterklaas. Kingston will send off Sinterklaas on a tugboat across the Hudson River to his destination in Rhinecliff in a reenactment of the Dutch Sinterklaas' annual sailing from Spain to Holland.
