Sacred Sites Open House

Quakers will guide a tour of their 1790 building from 12:30 to 1 p.m. and host an informal open house from 1 to 3 p.m. It’s part of in the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s annual “Sacred Sites Open House.” Visitors can examine the hand-hewn beams and learn how the building design reveals early sexual equality in the Quaker faith, formally called the “Religious Society of Friends At 225, the Meeting House is the oldest religious building in Cornwall. The white clapboard building is at 60 Quaker Road, Route 107, next to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. More information is at http://cornwallquakers.org
