Congregation Emanuel celebrates Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, with traditional and alternative practices. Join us for joyous and inspiring song and prayer, blasts of the shofar, Q&A with the Rabbi, and special children’s services. After morning and afternoon services, congregants of all ages gather at water’s edge for Tashlich, an earthy experience of renewal. Don’t miss second-day observance outdoors at Poet's Walk in Red Hook, including walking meditation and the sounds of the shofar over the Hudson.
