Roaring Back: The Fragile Global Recovery of Large Carnivores

When: Fri., Feb. 19, 7 p.m. 2016

Join Dr. Joshua Ginsberg, President of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, for a special lecture on the fragile global recovery of large carnivores. Lions, tigers, wolves, wild dogs and other charismatic carnivores are often depicted as being on the brink of extinction. Ginsberg will discuss how, over the last few decades, global populations of many large carnivores have either stabilized or have started to recover. Discover which animals are on the rebound and what their improvement tells us about the future of wildlife conservation.
