When: Sun., Nov. 2, 1-5 p.m. 2014
Visitors can fall-in with re-enactors from the 1st New York Regiment of the Continental Army to experience army life during the American Revolution. Beginning at 2pm boys and girls, will be recruited to enlist in the militia, swear a loyalty oath to the patriot cause, drill with non-firing wooden muskets, wear tri-corner hats, and march in authentic von Steuben formations. Living history displays about a soldier’s life, 18th century medicine and foods, and house tours will be available throughout the day.
