Focused on the concept of Connection and especially its depiction in Erik Larson’s novel Thunderstruck. This suspenseful non-fiction mystery tells the story of how the world’s first wireless radio system, largely credited to Guglielmo Marconi, influenced the investigation of Britain’s second most famous murder, just after the turn of the century. Discussion will be facilitated by WKZE Radio’s Gregg Stolarik. A short videotaped interview with the author will also be shown. In honor of Marconi we will be serving macaroni, along with beverages, and dessert.
