Postcards for Peace: Thoughts and Actions to Help Prevent War with North Korea

The Hudson Valley Advocacy Group will present an evening to learn more about this situation including: the history of relations between Korea and the United States, what is constitutionally in place in the form of the War Powers Act (a federal law intended to check the president's power to commit the United States to an armed conflict without the consent of the U.S. Congress), the current bills in front of congress, and how to ensure that the United States does not pre-emptively go to war without the consent of Congress. The Hudson Valley Advocacy group works by creating a personal relationship with our members of Congress and advocating for diplomacy and peaceful resolution of conflict.
