Poetry of Jean Sands

Join Jack Sheedy of Harwinton and Patricia Martin of Torrington as they discuss and read from "Gandy Dancing" (2009) and "Close But Not Touching" (2017), by the late Jean Sands of Harwinton. Her poetry is raw and revealing and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Jack Sheedy was married to Sands for 27 years before her death in 2016. He will discuss how the books came to be published. Patricia Martin is a poet, author and voice actor. She will present the feminist poetry from a woman's perspective.
