Poem: Simplicity

There are holes
in the stitching
where the itch
of want leaks
to traipse loose
in all kinds of
weather. Frail goose
bereft in the rain,
you’ll find no
shelter among
the welter of silk
and tulle. Don
plain toile or
tarlatan, tell all
charlatans, be gone.
