Poem: Ritual

He sketched out my vision, then
pressing the paper to my scalp,
rubbing it smooth until it stuck,
he bent me over.

Pulling me close,
holding my head tight,
he drilled.

How strange,
I thought,
the casual way
he changes my body
forever.
