Poem: Jack and Jill

I don’t think you noticed
my head hitting the towel rack
as you slammed your lips onto mine.
I thought of the headache I’d have later,
as you continued to kiss my mouth.
But remembering the Advil in my bag,
I sighed with relief,
which you mistook as pleasure
and pulled me closer.
