This week, I talk with award-winning environmental journalist and New York Times Dot Earth blogger Andy Revkin about living in Garrison, Pete Seeger, and climate change.
On April 24 at 7pm, the Garrison Institute and Fresh Company present their fifth annual Modern Earth Day Meal with hors d'oeuvres, dinner and beer and wine, and a talk by Revkin on how to navigate the human-dominated era widely nicknamed “the Anthropocene.” The menu features many ingredients sourced from local growers and vendors. A portion of the ticket price ($40 in advance or $45 at the door) will be donated to Chef’s Collaborative, which supports sustainable cuisine and local farmers, and matched by the dairy co-op Organic Valley.
