Her collaboration with indie folk quartet Darlingside, the Woodstock EP, garnered national attention with a New York Times feature for their cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Woodstock” (which you can hear prior to our conversation on the podcast. Maloney is embarking on a national tour this month, debuting new material which will be the basis for her next full-length release.
Maloney is the real deal—tuneful, soulful, and earthy. On the podcast, we talk about the seeming apathy of her generation, the Millennials; her spiritual practice, and growing up listening to the music of the folk rock of the `60s and `70s and how that generation's ideas about personal and global transformation have worked to forge her worldview and her music.
