When: Thu., Sept. 17, 12-2 p.m. 2015
The textile exhibit, Woven Wonders, features the work of Hudson Valley tapestry artist Mary Flad. She works on a linen warp and uses a variety of fibers, primarily wool, to develop her images. Flad draws design inspiration for her work from the landscapes and plant forms of the Hudson Valley. Her woven tapestries vary in palette, pattern, and structure and range from a very small scale of a few inches to a size of several square yards.
