The Baker's wife, Aurelie, contemplates life beyond her Provencal village in Marcel Pagnol's enchanting slice-of-life comedy.
When the local baker's sexy young wife runs off with a young shepherd, middle-aged Provençal village baker Aimable, goes on strike, refusing to produce another loaf until she comes back. The result is a desperate effort by the village to return the wayward wife and their “daily bread”. In French with English Subtitles.
