Slapstick prevails when Jacques Tati’s eccentric hero is let loose in his brother-in-law’s home. Mon Oncle won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, a Special Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, and the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
