Local History Lunch: “Legendary Codebreaker Elizebeth Friedman” by G. Stuart Smith

Retired journalism professor and author, G. Stuart Smith presents a look at the life of a woman pioneer in U.S. code breaking. Her abilities foiled would-be smugglers of alcohol and drugs in the 1920's and snagged spies in WWII. Sandwich lunch will be served. This program is made possible with grant funding from the Ascienzo Family Foundation. Registration is required for this free program for adults and rides are available for seniors in the town of Red Hook.
