Living with Bears

The Roaring Brook Lake Garden Club, the Roaring Brook Lake Property Owners Association and Tompkins Corners Cultural Center invite you to a presentation on living with bears. Budd Veverka, Director of Land Management at Mianus River Gorge, Bedford, NY, will share findings from his research on black bears, their biology, habitat and habits. As bears prepare to come out of hibernation in spring, find out how to co-exist peacefully with these curious and playful animals. Discover the research being conducted to map black bear sightings and movement in the area. Find out where black bears are moving in and why.
