Join us for an in-depth exploration of Shirley Graham Du Bois’ 1932 opera, Tom-Tom. Following an introduction of excerpts from the work, performers and panelists will discuss the opera’s complex representations of race, gender, and history, as well as the opportunities and challenges of presenting Tom-Tom today.
