Willing to try anything to win the affection of the fiercely independent Adina, Nemorino, the young admirer spends a fortune on a “love potion” sold by Dulcamara, a traveling charlatan who capitalizes on the desperate and naive. Adina must choose between a cavalier and a humble villager.
