Joyous Evening of Klezmer Music at Tompkins Corners - Alicia Svigals and Lauren Brody

Alicia Svigals, the world's leading klezmer fiddler, and accordion wizard Lauren Brody will return to Tompkins Corners in a concert that will feature "women's songs" in conjunction with a poster exhibit in the reception room sponsored by the Putnam County League of Women Voters commemorating the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage in New York State. Alicia Svigals is a founder of the Grammy-winner Klezmatics, whom she co-led for seventeen years. Lauren Brody is a pioneer of the klezmer revival in the United States and a founding member of the groundbreaking band "Kapelye."
