Joy Taylor’s drawing are inky forms in motion. Her source of imagery is always the natural world, and this work is no exception. Her interpretations of natural forms can’t be found in any garden, however. Patterns of growth drive to their visually weird ends in a nature that has yet to evolve outdoors. Christina Tenaglia’s printing process is fast and dirty in this series of recent monotypes. Inking, wiping, and re-inking plates again and again, she creates dynamic forms that jostle, collide, and explode in and out of existence in mysterious space.
