Independent Bookstore Day

Celebrate the nation’s independent book stores at Oblong Books & Music in both Rhinebeck and Millerton with activities, exclusive books, art, and literary/comic celebs. Oblong Jr. All Day Bubble party for young readers on the patio. Tell us your favorite books! There will be a blackboard with sidewalk chalk set up outside Oblong Jr. 10am-12pm—Coffee, tea, & McEnroe's donuts in both sections of the store 12-2pm—Face painting at Oblong Jr. 2-3pm—Love Feast Catering's vegan Indian food chef demo and talk 3-4pm—Music hour 4-6pm—Happy hour with wine and cheese 6-7pm—Pavement chalk drawing Plus book scavenger hunts for adults and kids.
