When the glimmer of hope that is bright, tasty spring ingredients are starting to pop up on menus across the Hudson Valley once again, it can mean only one thing: Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is right around the corner.


During the beloved twice-annual culinary event, which returns next Monday, March 21 and runs through Sunday, April 3, over 100 local restaurants across the region, including Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster, and Westchester counties, will be serving up delicious, creative dishes that highlight the bounty of ingredients just coming into season.

The two-week-long event, which began in 2006, is the perfect way for diners to celebrate the diversity of chefs and restaurants that have made the Hudson Valley a renowned dining destination.


With restaurants offering three-course, prix-fixe lunches at $29.95 and dinners at $39.95, it’s the perfect opportunity to say hello to the new restaurants that have joined the lineup, or to return to your old favorites for some truly classic, comforting fare.

Sample the seasonally inspired dishes of some of the region’s best-known restaurants, including Terrapin in Rhinebeck, Dutch Ale House in Saugerties, City Winery in Montgomery, Cosimo’s in Poughkeepsie, or Maria Restaurant in New Rochelle—or branch out and explore the flavors of new Restaurant Week names like Jason Patrick's on 44 in Poughkeepsie or New York Restaurant in Catskill.

Note that the prix-fixe menus do not include beverage, tax, or gratuity, and reservations are highly recommended by many of the event’s restaurants, so be sure to check out their websites or call in advance.
