The 11h Annual Hudson Jazz Workshop, held this year from August 10th-13th, is a weekend immersion in improvisation and composition presented by Hudson Jazzworks, Inc. with artistic co-directors pianist Armen Donelian a Hudson resident and former sideman with Sonny Rollins, and saxophonist Marc Mommaas a Dutch native living in New York City. Past HJW Participants, many of them rising professional musicians, have come from as far away as Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Holland, Italy, Japan, Nigeria, Norway, Spain and the USA.

On Sunday, August 13th, Special Guest guitarist Freddie Bryant will perform at Hudson Hall with Armen and Marc and the HJW Participants.

At Hudson Hall, Armen, Marc and Freddie will present a Meet the Artists talk at 4pm. At 4:30pm, they’ll perform several pieces individually and together in various combinations. HJW Participants will follow by playing their original works-in-progress created during the Workshop. A rousing closer with all the performers will round out the concert. Concert admission is $20 for adults, $16 for HOH members and Free to students.

Hudson Hall, located at 327 Warren Street, Hudson, NY, is a multi-arts center and major downtown anchor, housed in an 1855 building that was once City Hall.
