When: Fri., Dec. 22, 9 p.m. and Sat., Dec. 23, 3 p.m. 2017
Since Thanksgiving we’ve been dogged by the same playlist of holiday songs and Christmas carols in every flavor of rendition from country to boy band pop. “A Christmas Carol” and “Nutcracker” have moved into local theaters and performance halls for their annual residency.
If you love the holidays, but you’re a bit bored, no one can blame you. This Friday night in Hudson, treat yourself to a truly different Yuletide experience with the Holidelic show at Club Helsinki. Produced and directed by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, producer, actor, and dancer Everett Bradley, Holidelic is a fun and funkalicious spin on Christmas. Now in its ninth season, this part comedy routine, part music show, part seasonal ode is better than ever. Family dysfunction and holiday hilarity get an infusion of soul, with influences from P-Funk, Sly and the Family Stone, and other contemporaneous hit bands. Bradley is a master showman and is sure to bring a highly theatrical, not so silent night.
