The Westchester Community College Peekskill Extension Center offers an intimate environment in the dynamic downtown of the City of Peekskill. Students from Putnam and Northern Westchester can find cutting-edge smart classrooms and post-production studios in this location and connect to faculty and staff through student services, classes, and student life. Students can see a counselor, register for classes, process payments, and more close to home.

The facility has over 100 Apple computers, cintiq tablets for digital drawing and painting, digital video production equipment, 3D printing and a Maker Space. The center provides both credit and non-credit course offerings in general education, digital media, and English-as-a-Second Language. This location has launched a new Hospitality Workforce Certificate in fall 2018. This certificate introduces students to local area businesses in the restaurant, hotel, and the tourism industry and immerses them in real-world experiences. Top hospitality professionals guest lecture and work with students on gaining access to the various sectors within the field.
In spring 2019 the center will launch a 3D Animation Certificate with animator, Joseph Thomas. This rigorous 180-hour course is a one year program with three modules. Students will work with ZBrush and Maya to produce rich characters that come to life. In addition, the center has a 72-hour advanced User Experience Design Certificate to help students realize a portfolio piece that will ready them for this in-demand field.

The center also has an exhibition program in its storefront, The Westchester Gallery. For more information about submitting to the gallery, see contact information below.
