Everett Bradley aka Papadelic, the Miracle on 134th Street, is set to unveil Sugar Daddy, the latest version of his wildly popular show, Holidelic. Celebrating diversity and dysfunction, the X-mas rated Holidelic has been a phenomenon in the Northeast over 10 years, with 2014 marking a return.
“We’re calling this year’s show Sugar Daddy because our sound is Holi-deliciously sweet enough to keep the confectionary funk flowing in your ear hole,” says Bradley, the beloved percussionist and singer for the E Street Band and the musical director / band leader for The Meredith Vieira Show, the new NBC daytime talk show. “Papadelic is owning his title of the ghetto fabulous father of Fa la la funk and is unabashedly pimping some new grooves, new threads, and ear candy for all walks of life that have a sweet tooth Holidelic.”
Over the years, Holidelic guests have included members of the E Street Band, Fred Schneider, Vernon Reid, John Forte, Janis Siegel and Celeste Holm, and plans to add more for 2014. Everett has recorded and toured with Bruce Springsteen, Carly Simon, Quincy Jones, Bobby McFerrin, Hall & Oates, David Bowie, Jon Bon Jovi and more. The musical director for Meredith Vieira Show, Bradley performed on the hit Broadway production After Midnight and was nominated for a Grammy Award for his work with Stomp.
