Historian Robi Josephson discusses how the mountain house tradition first brought visitors to Lake Mohonk at the same time that families who struggled to survive on the Shawangunk Ridge sent their sons far from home to fight in the Civil War.It will include a display and readings of letters from the front received by the Goldsmith and Sarine families of Cragsmoor.
