Eels!

Join us to learn about the amazing life cycle of the American eel, see live eels and find to get involved in citizen! American eels hatch in the Sargasso Sea and migrate over 1000 miles to estuaries and rivers like the Hudson. As eel populations decline, baseline information is needed. Volunteers from NYC to Troy check specialized nets in the spring to count the number of eels arriving in the Hudson River tributaries. All are welcome to enjoy this fun family event!
