We here at Chronogram love the Newburgh Illuminated festival, which has been celebrating the Orange County city’s diverse culture for nearly eight years and will return to its streets on June 4. And this year Newburgh will have even more summer fun to offer on that same day, when the inaugural Dream Valley festival jumps off in town.
Presented in collaboration with Newburgh Illuminated, the Dream Valley festival will feature musical acts, salsa dance demonstrations and classes, healing arts practitioners, artisanal vendors, interactive booths, and performance artists, as well as a curated art gallery, a specialty pop-up photobooth, and a food court populated by local food vendors and trucks. Daycare for children by attendants who are over 21 will also be available for those parents who wish to partake in the offerings from Newburgh Brewing Co., Graft Cidery, Exalted Alchemy (herbal joint rolling), and more.
The musical acts set to perform at Dream Valley 2022 include Newburgh native and poet, rapper, and community activist Decora, El Comborican, DJ H20, Baby Wolf, Ayo Nish, Daniel Villegas, A-Game, Top Shelf Shake, Anusha, and Roga Raph. Vendors slated to take part in the event include Exalted Alchemy, Estuary Co., Bolted Lightning, Seven Circles Clothing Co., Made by Francheska, Alea Tamar Artwork, Witch Hazel, Harbinger, Eye See All Arts, and others.
The debut Dream Valley festival will take place at 105 Ann Street in Newburgh on June 4 from noon to 9pm. Tickets are $10 to $40.
