    The statement that "[t]he Fair Housing Act excludes rentals in buildings with five or fewer rooms," is just wrong. First under the Fair Housing Act there is never an exemption for discriminatory statements that express an improper preference or limitation. Second, the exemption that does exist, which the author apparently misconstrues, is for buildings with 4 or fewer dwelling units in which the owner occupies one as their primary residence. Furthermore, even this limited exemption may be overridden by state laws, such as that here in California
