"The myth of the Lehman Sisters? Sex, testosterone, and financial risk-taking," a talk by Dr. Cordelia Fine. In this talk, Dr. Fine will discuss the growing scientific interest in the role of testosterone in financial risk-taking, and the assumption that such role stems from testosterone being the proximal mechanism underlying the evolved masculine trait of risk-taking. After raising conceptual and empirical problems with this model, she will report preliminary findings from a meta-analytic study on testosterone and financial risk-taking.
