With all the disruption to the dining scene that the pandemic has brought, you might have missed this winter’s debut of brunch service at Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck’s signature restaurant, Willow by Charlie Palmer. But if you’re looking for a new Sunday spot, the bistro-inspired menu offers an array of sophisticated French classics fit for capping off any weekend.
The menu features lovable brunch standbys like eggs Benedict and brioche stuffed French toast, as well as traditional savory Parisian fare like steak frites with herb butter. For those looking for something on the lighter side, the menu also has contemporary offerings like a grain bowl with farro, avocado, and radish alongside savory toasts like crab with avocado and their famous Brussels sprouts with agrodolce and chipotle aioli.
There’s also live music every Sunday from local Rhinebeck musicians like Steve Gravino and Rick Winne of "The Duo" and Karl Allweier of the Rhinebeck School of Music. To complete the picturesque European-style experience, the restaurant also has limited outdoor seating on the canopy-shaded deck, so arrive early to snag a table there if weather permits. The restaurant also currently offers in-dining room seating, which reopened in July with enhanced safety protocols.
If you’re in town on Sunday, September 27, be sure to stop in for a birthday brunch in celebration of the resort’s first anniversary. In addition to the full menu, the special champagne brunch will come with a complimentary glass of bubbly and a slice of cake.
Brunch at Willow by Charlie Palmer is offered from 11:30am-3pm every Sunday. For reservations, call 877-MIRBEAU.
