Nothing says indulgence like chocolate and cocktails. This Valentine’s Day, Bluecashew will deliver the best of both with a chocolate mixed drink class. What better way to toast to love on Cupid’s holiday?
Bluecashew has been holding cooking classes in its new uptown-Kingston kitchen as part of its “Learnin’ in the Homestead” series since the beginning of the year. Many of these classes are taught by award-winning cooking masters in the area. In January, former 32-year executive chef at The Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Brooke Vosika, taught one of the first classes on making the best risotto.
Sean Nutley of Bluecashew says the Valentine’s Day class will demonstrate “how to pair spirits with chocolate by identifying core flavors unique to some liquors and using these as a guide to make the perfect chocolate match.”
Mixologist Paul Maloney will guide the group in crafting exciting mix drinks, such as Graham's Kick, Chocolate Milk Punch, Doctor's orders, and spiked Hot Chocolate. Maloney and his wife Jenny run the trendy Stockade Tavern in Uptown Kingston, which Esquire Magazine named one of America’s Best Bars in 2014.
The Lovers Cocktail class at Bluecashew begins at 6pm on February 14. $65 per person, or $120 per couple. Call them at (845) 514-2300 to reserve a spot and satisfy that sweet tooth this Valentine’s Day.
